Ahoy Matey!

I remember running from house to house yelling "trick or treat" - anxiously awaiting the candy that would inevitably be thrown into my bag.  Laughing and playing around with my neighborhood friends, while our parents sipped on whiskey sours and beers we buzzed around the streets.  Everybody enjoying the night out - Halloween isn't just for children.

Fast forward 25 years - I'm the parent drinking while pushing my baby pirate in her stroller.  Watching as my nephew runs from house to house with his neighborhood friends.  I know Halloween prides its self on  being a creep day with all its zombies, ghosts, black cats and witches - but to me, there is nothing scary about the day -- er, correction - unless you are accosted by some scary woman asking if you want to make a wish on her "magic rock"- that's when it becomes a bit creepy.
