I'm disappointed in myself - it's already the 7th of January and this is only my second entry of 2014. Getting back into the routine after 10 days of vacation is like taking the training wheels off a bike --- steady, girl! Ahh, how nice it was to go on little adventures with my family or stay in our pajamas if we wanted to. Speaking of pajamas - I recently won a Snuggie. beep beep beep, back it up. I won a gift certificate to a restaurant (at my companies holiday party). But, at the end of the night I accosted the winner of the Cheetah print Snuggie and asked her for a trade. She practically threw the Snuggie in my face - she was the winner in this scenario. But I maniacally laughed all the way home thinking of the joyous times (on the couch) I was going to have with the Snuggie.
Apparently I didn't pay attention to the infomercials - because I thought a Snuggie was something you were able to wear around the house and do chores - like a robe. I was in the market for a new robe and this is why I went in for the trade but much to my chagrin I learned that the Snuggie is a fleece blanket. When I expressed my disgust with the design of the Snuggie to Matt he just shook his head at me. No help!
How am I supposed to fold laundry, unload the dishwasher, keep up with a baby and stay warm on these cold nights in Texas (and I am not being sarcastic, it's freakin' freezing down here)?? When there is a will there is a way. I took matters into my own hands....this is what I did:
Step 1: Put the opening of the Snuggie in the front
Step 2: Gather up loose material and tightly wrap around my body (like a sarong).
Step 3: Use an old scarf as a belt.
Step 4: There will be extra material in the chest area. You can either leave as is (v neck style) or tuck in (buttoned up style).
Step 5: Stay warm and active
Step 6: Market this new invention as the "Snrobe"
You're welcome, Snuggie!
