Tonight marks the kick off of the 2013 NFL season.
You know what this means? FANTASY FOOTBALL. I have always loved watching football, my dad is a huge NY Giants fan - so I inherited the love of the team but I have not always loved fantasy.
A couple years back, Matt was playing in a work league, every week he would be on the couch creating he perfect lineup for that week - watching who was on the waivers or on the IR list. I used to be so annoyed, borderline offended, that he wouldn't root for one team but he'd root for 15 individual players. I remember as that season crept along I was slowly falling into the fantasy trance. I went from not caring if Matt had decent players, to one week him asking me my opinion about which player I would start. My opinion? I might've not liked fantasy, but I loved giving my opinion. We would go back on forth on why we thought certain players should start.

Midway through the season I was Matt's "official fantasy football league consultant." Sundays would consist of us huddling around the computer and TV watching his team rack up points. High fives when they won and boo-ing each other when they lost. I was starting to enjoy this silly fantasy game.

It wasn't until the following season that I transitioned to "consultant" to "owner." I had my own team. I was ready to take on the league and kick some butt. The hardest part of having a team-coming up with a team name. I was looking for inspiration - I looked to my NY Giants. A picture of Eli Manning "mouth breathing" caught my eye and the rest was history. I added said picture of Eli as my avatar and was now called "The Mouth Breathers." I didn't kick butt that season, ended up 4 out of 8, but, Eli and his mouth breathing ways led the Giants to a victory over the New England Patriots in Superbowl XLVI.
